PURPOSE: The purpose of the Internship at ITOCA is to provide under graduate and graduate students with a chance to gain exposure to the work environment and to give them a unique African experience in a professional environment and also acquire important supplementary skills during an internship. It is designed to complement development-oriented studies or information science studies with practical experience in various aspects of ICTs for development work. We offer the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in different African cultures, understanding African professionals and make contact with potential future employer’s.
OBJECTIVE: The objective of Internship Program is to offer US and European students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to real work experience in Africa. The internship will help the young interns working through advocacy, training and research in any field to gain insight into development work, life in Africa, and the work of an information trainer, knowledge and/or ICT professional.
COUNTRIES: We offer internship programs in the following African countries: Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zimbabwe. The offered programs will vary from country to country.
