Firstly I would like to express my deepest gratitude for considering me an eligible candidate for the internship programme. It was an exciting opportunity for me to nurture my professional growth at such an esteemed organization. The leadership at ITOCA throughout the programme assisted me in the further development of my training, report writing, communication skills, as well as my ability to implement individual projects and function as a leading contributor on various team projects within the company. The experience was more than I could have expected and allowed me the freedom to develop, I actually felt like a major contributor in planning, coordinating and co-facilitating in Monitoring and Evaluation, Records Management, Digitization, TEEAL-AGORA, DAAD and Research4Life workshops. Working for ITOCA helped me use the knowledge I acquired over the 4 years as a University student as well as the skills I developed during my previous internships with University of Fort Hare and other Libraries. I wouldn’t have asked for any better beginnings. Thanks to ITOCA.
